The Industrial Ecology Co LLC was developed in 2005 to initially provide Energy Efficient lighting for Industrial and Commercial customers. After 39 years in the lighting industry (Philips Lighting and Westinghouse Lamp Division). Paul Walitsky retired from Philips and formed The Industrial Ecology Co LLC.

At Philips, Paul Walitsky was Manager Environmental Affairs, responsible for environmental compliance for all Philips Lighting facilities in North America. During this time he was also the public technical voice of the ALTO® Lamp. He presented speeches and seminars throughout North America concerning mercury reduction in lighting products, energy efficiency and lengthening the service life of lighting products.

Thus the first products offered by Industrial Ecology Co LLC were the low mercury ALTO lamps and compact fluorescent lamps. The product line has widened to take in the entire lighting product spectrum: lamps and LEDs, ballasts, fixtures and poles and occupancy sensors. Alternative energy sources include: Solar Hot Water Systems, Photovoltaic panels, Wind turbines, Green Power (non-utility suppliers).

The Industrial Ecology Co LLC is registered in New Jersey as a small business (47693-20). It is one of the participants in the New Jersey State Contract for Lighting Fixtures and Electrical supplies. Industrial Ecology’s primary customers have been Electrical Contractors, Industrial, Commercial, Educational, Religious Institutions, Municipalities, and Building Management organizations.
